I often get asked about how to best use color in classroom. Here are some things that bubble to the surface.

  1. Use colors that enhance focus and concentration, such as blue and green
  2. Incorporate bright and bold accents to stimulate creativity and energy
  3. Use colors that promote calmness and relaxation
  4. Choose colors that are easily adaptable and changeable for future use
  5. Consider the age and development level of the students
  6. Use color to define different zones or areas within the learning space
  7. Match colors to the school’s branding and visual identity
  8. Use color to create contrast and draw attention to important features
  9. Integrate natural and earthy colors to create a connection with nature
  10. Consider the psychological impact of color and choose accordingly.
