Love the Work You Do
Do you love the work you do? It is the only way that I can survive. Working in education, with the mission to create and design solutions for all kids, is complex work that requires a real love for the work. Too many of the educators that I work with have had their passion for the work extinguished. No one wants to be an implementer of someone else’s standards, pacing guide, and testing regiment. Let educators be brilliant. Give them some breathing room, and let them return to the love of the work. This can begin with helping educators work in a space that supports true wellness and provides time, respect, and grace when it comes to self-care and attending to the bumps in life. When we take these graceful steps, amazing stories like the ones in the book below emerge.
