When you wake up hungry…school isn’t enough.

When you get yelled at every morning…school isn’t enough.

When you are seven years old and no one is home…school isn’t enough.

When you have no one to sit with at lunch…school isn’t enough.

When you get teased about your hair…school isn’t enough.

When you don’t have clean clothes…school isn’t enough.

When you can’t count on your electricity or water…school isn’t enough.

When gunshots fill your neighborhood…school isn’t enough.

When you feel invisible, scared and lonely…school isn’t enough.
